Hua Hin World Tennis Invitation 2014
Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, two of tennis’s biggest stars, are coming to Hua Hin for the World Tennis Invitation of 2014.
If you were looking for an excuse to visit Hua Hin then now you have your chance. With the Worlds number 1 and 2 female tennis players coming to town this will be a match not to be missed and a great end to the year.
Hua Hin World Tennis Invitation
The Hua Hin World Tennis Invitation is an annual event organised by the Intercontinental Hotel in Hua Hin and although this is the 2014 charity invitation it will actually be held at the end of December 2013.
This one day exhibition match is due to take place on Saturday 28th December at 5:00 pm (17:00 hours) at the Intercontinental Centennial Park in the Southern part of Hua Hin town.
Serena Williams vs Victoria Azarenka
Victoria Azarenka is no stranger to Hua Hin and has played two exhibition matches here in the past few years and is the crowning women’s champion from the 2012 competition.
While Serena’s sister, Venus, was the female doubles champion for the 2010 World Tennis Invitation this will be a first visit for Serena.
The match is due to be broadcast nationally on channel 3 and internationally on various sports networks.

Serena Williams is ranked number 1 in the World at the moment and she has an impressive track history. With 57 WTA tour singles titles, 11 of those just from 2013 alone, 17 Grand Slam singles titles, 32 Grand Slam titles, 4 WTA Championships and 4 Olympic gold medals.
Victoria Azarenka, on the other hand, is presently ranked the World’s number 2 female tennis player (formerly number 1) and although she didn’t turn pro until several years after Serena she has still managed to stockpile plenty of trophies. This Olympic gold medalist with 17 WTA tour singles titles (3 during 2013 so far), 2 Grand Slam singles titles and 4 Grand Slam titles is out to win.
Guaranteed to be an exciting match it looks like anybody’s game. Although Serena is showing good form at the moment it was only a few months ago, in August, when Victoria beat Serena in Cincinnati so this will be an interesting rematch.
